1. TOOLS
1.1 Equipment for drying wood, ensuring free internal circulation of air and capable of maintaining a temperature of 103 (+/-2) ℃
1.2 Constant temperature water tank
1.3 Electonic scale accurate to 0.0001 g
1.4 Spectrophotometer
1.5 Electric cooker
1.6 40 L dessicator
1.7 Aluminum foil tape
1.8 Ventilator
1.9 Distilled water and 13 types of chemicals. Chemical glassware
2. SAMPLING
Any 450 mm² sample
The sample shall be free from resin wood and features such as bark, knots and resin pockets
3. ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Temperature: 20 (+/- 2) ℃
Humidity: 65 (+/-5) %
4. TESTING PROCEDURE
4.1 Use aluminum foil to seal the samples edges and back

4.2 Place a container with 20ml distilled water at the bottom of the dessicator; place the sample on the dessicator shelf; and close the dessicator

4.3 24 hours later, take the water container out of the dessicator and obtain the reading on the spectrophotometer

4.4 Calculate the formaldehyde release level and fill the report
